To Olaf Kreinsen (*1960) taking up photography as a medium in 2004 meant returning to his roots: Born a photographer’s son he started experimenting with professional equipment at an early age. As a profession he first turned to filmmaking. After studying film and theater at the University of Hamburg he began working as camera operator and editor before becoming a successful director and script author for TV films and series.
