Kathrin Haaßengier (*1974) studied art pedagogy at Greifswald and Burg Giebichenstein, Halle, before she took up studies in fine arts with Hermann Weber at Burg Giebichenstein in 1999. She commenced her studies in 2000 at the Academy of Fine Arts, Karlsruhe, with Gustav Kluge whos master student she became after receiving her diploma in 2003. Kathrin Haaßengier is founding member of V8 Plattform e.V. at Karlsruhe (2004) and of Bernstorff-Studios in Hamburg (2007). She lives and works in Hamburg.
