Amer al Akel - I am from Syria

Amer Al Akel (Damascus, Syria 1987) took his Bachelor degree in Art and Visual Communications at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Damascus University in Syria in 2011. He has taken courses at “Studio1”, AllArtnow, in collaboration with the British Council at Damascus in 2011, with filmmaker Faisal Kourashi, British Council, Syria in 2009 and at the Netherlands Institute for Academic Studies in 2008, this in Acrylic painting. He studied at the École nationale supérieure des beaux-arts de Paris, Class of Prof.Abraham Cruzvillegas, in 2019. In 2016 he inscribed himself as Diploma Student at the sculpture department of Weißensee Kunsthochschule in Berlin, Germany. Amer al Akel lives and works in Berlin, Germany
